When Worlds Collide

This mixed collage/painting is an attempt to make sense of an uncanny and both disturbing and caring dream, a reoccurring dream, that I am a troubled child in a concentration camp along with an announcement from my unconscious that an inner lover from another race and a future time span is coming to hold me in my transition from one life to another to another yet to another. This is a dream about facing history, futility, nihilism, infinity, hope, tragedy, despair and the Freudian poles of love and death. I did not know 20 years ago how to make sense of the BiG DREAM, so I made this collage, and, while not politically correct, it still challenges me to go beyond my limitations from my SELF (Big S) to what I know about my self (small s)— to this day.
